Jordan is accomplished composer and musician and has taught at the College of Wooster, the University of Arizona, and the University of Florida. He has had musical works premiered all over the world including musical festivals in Vienna, Vancouver, and at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC. Jordan has a deep passion for teaching and is known as an engaging lecturer.

Dr Haarhoff has been integral to the creation of Aegis Institute, which plans to hire her in our first round of faculty growth after our initial capital campaign.
Mandisa completed her PhD in 2018 on a Fulbright scholarship. She completed her MA in Drama with funding from the National Research Foundation. She is a recipient of the National Research Fund’s Black Academic Advancement Programme for her first book project, “Kaffirs are Kwerekweres: White indigeneity and Black Absenting in the South African Farm Novel. The monograph examines the ways in which farm novels and Plaasroman participate in constructions of white indigeneity and enact black absenting throughout the late-colonial and apartheid period. Haarhoff’s research interests are concentrated around postcolonial theory, black studies and critical race theory. Her teaching centers on African and diasporic literature.
