Organic Chemistry

In organic chemistry, we principally study the complex and intricate chemistry of carbon. Particularly, we focus on carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, and, to a lesser extent, various other elements. Biochemistry and polymer chemistry have been an outgrowth of this rich and varied fundamental field. It is a huge, sweeping, and varied field upon which the majority of modern chemistry is directly or indirectly built.
